Directions for: Charred Corn with Basil Butter
Ingredients
corn (1-2 per adult)
cup butter (1 stick), room temperature
1 handful basil leaves (about 10)
sea salt
Directions
1. Turn the BBQ to high.
2. If your corn still has the husk on it, peel and discard, removing all the fine silky strands as well (to prevent burning).
3. Place the corn on the BBQ and close the lid.
4. Check every five minutes or so to turn the corn as it blackens.
5. Meanwhile mix a stick of room temperature butter with a handful of chopped basil. You can do this in a small bowl using a fork. Season with sea salt to taste.
6. Serve the hot corn with the basil butter.
