Directions for: Grilled Haloumi on Toast
Ingredients
Slices of hearty breads with crusty outsides and tender insides. (I love rosemary and olive bread or crusty sourdoughs). Slices should be about " thick
Some good extra virgin olive oil for brushing on the bread
Block of Haloumi cheese sliced into " slices
Directions
1. Place the haloumi slices in a cold grill pan and heat on medium-high for 3 minutes or until the underside is golden. Flip and repeat. The entire process takes just a few minutes so don't leave this unattended.
2. In the meantime, brush a little olive oil on the bread slices and toast them.
3. To assemble...just place the grilled haloumi on top of the toast slices and cut into bit sized (or two bite) slices.
4. Serve with other finger foods for instant tapas and enjoy.
