Directions for: Steak and Frites
Ingredients
Steak4 10 oz New York strip loin steaks
1 clove crushed garlic
1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Frites2 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into matchsticks
4 cup sunflower oil
Kosher salt, to taste
Directions
Steak1. Heat a grill on high heat. Rub the steaks with garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper. Grill steaks 4 to 6 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Meanwhile, make the frites. Put the oil in a medium stainless-steel pot over medium high heat. When oil is at 325F, add the potato matchsticks. Fry 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels and season to taste with salt. Serve the steak with the frites on the side.
