Directions for: "Second Alarm" Ribs with Smoky BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
1 lb(s) pork, back, ribs
1 cup ketchup
cup malt vinegar
cup soy sauce
cup Worcestershire sauce
tsp liquid hickory smoke
3 cloves garlic, minced
cup corn syrup
cup packed brown sugar
tsp cayenne pepper
tsp black pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
2. Cut the ribs into large sections.
3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil on high heat and add the ribs.
4. Boil 10 to 15 minutes, drain, and arrange on a lightly sprayed baking sheet.
5. Combine ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, garlic, corn syrup, brown sugar, cayenne, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
6. Whisk to a smooth consistency.
7. Arrange rib sections, bone side down, on baking sheet and coat with half the sauce.
8. Cover with foil and bake on the middle oven rack for about 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
9. Heat a grill on medium-low heat.
10. Put the ribs on the grill and brush with the remaining sauce.
11. Grill the ribs, basting with the marinade periodically, about 10 minutes or until caramelized and crisp.
12. Cut between the bones and put on a platter.
13. Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley.
